FOR RELAXING TIMES, MAKE IT SANTORI TIME
::movie:: DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY
::music:: GRAVITY SONG ~ MODEST MOUSE
WEEKEND IN A NUTSHELL:
- beating Halo 1 on Heroic
- watching about 300 movies.
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story was on the DIVA channel this weekend for some reason(not really a DIVA type movie, but anyways). I hadn't seen the movie in years so I decided to give it a whirl. Turns out it still sucks. But its a kung fu movie, so right away I have to watch. The movie is nothing like Bruce Lee's actual life, which makes it even worse. Its a prime example of how hollywood tries to fuck with history in order to sell tickets. A more recent example of this would be the new movie Alexander. It will probably suck as hard as Troy did. Not to mention that its directed by Oliver Stone**. I don't know what kind of shit Any Given Sunday was, but it reminded me of this huge log that a retarded boy dropped back in junior high. He was taking a fit cause it was "L" shaped and wouldn't flush.
My youngest sister was away all weekend on a sleepover, so I spent all my time watching movies with my other sister, so she wouldn't be lonely(ok, i'll admit, I was lonely). We played halo, watched Home Alone, Mighty Ducks 2, and Big fish, before falling asleep watching Good Will Hunting. She's going to be quite the movie buff before she's 10! (I love corrupting children.)
I made a mini cd the other day. Only 4 songs. I could have had up to 7 but the mood of the cd would have been fucked with.
Such Great Heights ~ Postal Service
Calculation Theme ~ Metric
Song To Sing When I'm Lonely ~ John Frusciante
Untitled 1 ~ Sigor ros
Radioland phoned and said my cd was in (soundtrack to Singles). So I'm screwed cause I'm broke. I'm gonna head down and put it on my visa today and hope that I come into some money soon.
Movies to see:
I HEART HUCKABEES (already released)
THE MACHINIST
CLOSER (dec 3)
THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU (dec 10)
THE AVIATOR(dec 17)
NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE (dec 21, dvd)
**I do enjoy the Doors movie though.
"I think the message to, uh, psychos, fanatics, murderers, nutcases all over the world is, uh, 'do not mess with suburbanites'. Because, uh, frankly we're just not gonna take it any more. Ya know, we're not gonna be content to look after our lawns and wax our cars, paint out houses. We're out to get them, Don, we are out to get them." ~ the 'Burbs

Hey Joshua, kinda creepy Ronald there dont ya think? .....creepy......
Good for you on your triumphs with corrupting young childrens minds. Your sister is going to be the koolest girl in tizown, mind you no one will apprectaie it untill proabaly college(except her "mega cool" brother), but hey, at least you know if you teach her to be super Kool now, she's not going to bring home a lame boyfriend, ...well mabye one or two, ..but she'll learn. (Id like to point out how very unkool I am Myself, for using the word "Tizown". )
anyway. I decided your blog is my favorite to read cause its actually amusing and witty. your gonna hafta teach me that, cause mine is definitly not.
Peace Police.

Ummm.. try this instead:
BUSH IN HALIFAX
AMBER: Yeah, the Ronald McDonald was definetly a poorly thought out picture. I've had nightmares for the past week as a result. I've since changed it to Conan O'Brian, quite possibly the funniest man alive.
I'm definetly molding my little sisters to be cool. It is a shame though, that everyone that is cool, isn't realized until thier 20s or so. Fucking high school. I have yet to be realized...
As for Tizown...I'd stop using that one in public. its a bit too "wogger for my likens" you might say. Thats all the advice I have for being "witty." I'm really quite dull.
Gabrielle: I knew he was coming for a week.If I could, I'd go over and take a dump on his wife but alas, I am broke.
